August 20 - September 3, 2016 | Artist's Corner Gallery. Nicolas Baghir Maslowski is a renowned photographer who was raised in France. As an introverted child captivated by images, Baghir took his camera everywhere, photographing everything that came into sight to create a personal photographic universe. October 22-23, 2016 | All Day Event | Oak Canyon Park. The Growlers have announced the fifth annual Beach Goth festival, which is moving locations to Oak Canyon Park on Lake Irvine in Silverado, CA. French artists Justice, La Femme, and Sebastian will perform. The festival will take place on 10/23-24.

From September 21, 2016 | Exhibition Opening | Please Do Not Enter Gallery. Please Do Not Enter proudly presents 'Eat The River' by French artist Frederick Gautier! There will be 100 unique objects inspired by the Los Angeles River. This is a two-month long site-specific intervention into the LA River's history and landscape.

October 11, 2016 - January 22, 2017 | Alyce de Roulet Williamson Gallery. June 21-September 11, 2016 | Getty Museum. 'Unruly Nature: The Landscapes of Théodore Rousseau' is opening at the Getty Museum on June 21st! Rousseau's pictures are grave in character, with an air of exquisite melancholy. Rousseau spent so much time developing his subjects that his absolutely completed works are comparatively few!

July 9 - September 3, 2016 | Duncan Miller Gallery. According to the New York Times, "Édouard Boubat (1923-1999) was one of France's most celebrated postwar photographers." The photographs offered and on display at this exhibit are signed prints from the private collection of Bernard Boubat, the son of the artist. This is sure to be a phenomenal event.

July 11 - September 19, 2016 | Fahrenheit. Curator and writer Myriam Ben Salah’s residency at Fahrenheit will focus on her ongoing exploration of a new generation of artists who are mining the intersection of popular culture and identity politics to dismantle the distorted Western views of the Middle East and North Africa. The outcome of the residency will be an exhibition opening September 16 that aims to foster an alternative way of looking at art and culture from the Middle East and neighboring countries.
