‘I’m Ready.’ Disaster Preparedness Open House by The American Red Cross [fr]

A magnitude 3.6 earthquake centered in Granada Hills shook Los Angeles just a few days ago – Were you ready for it?

As part of the PrepareSoCal campaign, the American Red Cross Los Angeles is launching “I’m Ready.” – a new approach to disaster preparedness that makes it easy to prepare and help Angelenos declare their newfound preparedness to friends and family.

Join The American Red Cross at their DTLA headquarters for a FREE hands-on experience that will walk you through the five steps you need to take before you tell the world "I’m Ready." All participants will be provided with the following:

  • A guided lesson on what makes a good preparedness kit and escape plan
  • Information on how to survive the most common disasters in Southern California
  • Hands-only CPR training
  • An "I’m Ready" T-shirt upon completion

Doors will open at 1 p.m. and the entire experience will take you about 45 minutes.

If you have been putting off disaster preparedness for just the right time: Now is that time!
