Six WWII Veterans Receive Legion of Honor

On Thursday, June 27, Axel Cruau, Consul General of France in Los Angeles, bestowed the Legion of Honor of the rank "Chevalier" (Knight) on three World War II US Army veterans: Rudy Acosta, Paul "Jim" Pietsch, Jr., Takeo L. Kingi, David W. Lester, Seiji Oshiro, et John "Russell" Hunter. The Legion of Honor is the highest award France gives to its citizens and foreign nationals.
