Official visit of President Le Gall, CNES, to Caltech [fr]

On September 12-13th 2013, Mr Jean-Yves Le Gall, President of CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales), went on an official visit to Pasadena, California. On this occasion, he met Charles Elachi, the director of JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA) and visited NASA facilities. Charles Elachi and Jean-Yves Le Gall commend themselves for the strong links between CNES and JPL, and the excellence of technical exchanges between our two teams on many projects. Mr Jean Yves Le Gall also visited the Caltech University, with which a new agreement for a Master’s Educational Exchange Program was signed with the French University Polytechnique last march. Finally, Profesor Ares Rosakis from the Caltech University, who has been a tremendous asset to build this cooperation, has been awarded on September 12th the Palmes Academiques to acknowledge his crucial role in bringing the United States and France closer together.
