Attendance of Californian researchers at NEST 2014 at the Embassy of France in Washington DC [fr]
The first « Networking Event in Science and Technology » (NEST) organized by the Office for Science and Technology was held on July 1, 2014, at the Embassy of France in Washington DC. Many scientific alumni who are familiar with research in both France and the United States met to discuss on this occasion, which also marked the 50th anniversary of Inserm.
Following the invitation made by the Office for Science and Technology at the Consulate general of France in Los Angeles, three researchers from Southern California were present and made a presentation :
- Emiliana Borrelli, PhD – UCI (Joint International Unit « UMI » INSERM 904)
- Rachel Mak-McCully – UCSD (Chateaubriand Laureate 2012)
- Richard Simerly, PhD – Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, University of Southern California (Associated International Laboratory INSERM)
Fabien Agenès, scientific attaché at the OST at the Consulate general of France in Los Angeles, also attended the celebration.
