France Alumni, join the social network
Every year, nearly 300,000 foreign students pursue their studies in France, making our country the third most academically attractive country in the world.
Enabling alumni to keep in touch with France
This digital platform aims to enable these many foreign alumni to keep in touch with France and its schools, universities, companies, and cultural activities. With France Alumni, they will be able to interact with each other, to access opportunities for training, scholarships, internships, or jobs, and to remain informed about French cultural and touristic events. This new website also provides our companies and universities with an opportunity to develop internationally by forging new economic or academic partnerships with these alumni.
This platform is set up and run by Campus France, the French operator for academic mobility. It is built around a central website as well as local ones, which will be gradually launched by French embassies abroad. Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Gabon, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, the Philippines, Turkey and Vietnam will be the first ten countries to join France Alumni. Other French embassies are expected to come on board in 2015.
Launch on November 26
Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and Geneviève Fioraso, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Research participated in the launch of France Alumni last November 26 at the Quai d’Orsay in the presence of a number of notable alumni such as Tunisian Health Minister Mohamed Salah Ben Ammar, Fiac Director Jennifer Flay, and Ubisoft France Director General John Parkes.
