Climate – Laurent Fabius’s participation in the “Business and Climate Week”
Less than 200 days ahead of COP 21, which he will chair, Laurent Fabius will participate in the “Business and Climate Week,” due to take place in Paris from May 20 to 22. During the high-level dialogue with the private sector tomorrow, and then the Business and Climate Summit (May 20 and 21) and Climate Finance Day (May 22), he will launch an appeal for extensive mobilization by the private sector, which will be crucial to the success of the Paris Climate Conference – COP21.
This week’s events, which reflect the business world’s interest in the transition toward low-carbon economies, a factor for growth and employment, will bring together hundreds of business leaders and banking and financial sector representatives from all over the world. They will conduct a realistic initial assessment of the actions and commitments of the private sector in the fight against climate disruption.
