🇫🇷🇺🇸🎖️On October 20, 2023, Julie Duhaut-Bedos awarded US veteran Manuel Salazar with the Legion of Honor medal at his home in Anaheim.
🫡 Born in Española, NM, he landed on Omaha Beach in July 1944 and fought on multiple battlegrounds such as Northern France, Rhineland and the battle of the Bulge.
🎖️ Purple Heart recipient, his commitment to the liberation of France has now been recognized with the Legion of Honor.
